primetel.com.cy and cablenetcy.net

Hello,

Because of a bug (or because the site cannot be scanned correctly) on cyta.com.cy.ini that I describe here http://webgrabplus.com/content/cytacomcyini, can someone please create ini and channels file for these websites:

They are both channels/providers from Cyprus (can be placed under Greece as well). I'm mostly interested for the Local category, as most of the rest of the channels can be found on other EPGs. But someone wants to grab the whole EPG just for completion it would be perfect!

Thank you!

P.S. I'm a new user and because I had 3 main issues/requests I created 3 different topics in order for every topic to be clearer.

Hello,

Yes they are pretty similar sites. Because of their similarity you forgot to change the url link for the logos for cablenet. It should be:

http://tvguide.cablenetcy.net/logos/

However I noticed that both sites have a big issue. Not something that you can do. I believe it's a fault from their side. Each day on their schedule, starts at 06:00 and ends on 05:00 (of the next day). So basically it shows you the programs from 06:00 Today's until 05:00 Next day. For example, using today's date. On "Today" tab it will show programs from 06:00 10-09-2016 until 11-09-2016 05:00. On Tomorrow tab it will show programs from 06:00 11-09-2016 until 05:00 12-06-2016.

If at any time between 06:00 and midnight, go to the website, the now playing program will be displayed just fine. Let's say it's 21:00 - 10-09-2016, and I want to know what Channel 1 shows. If I go to the website, it will display just fine the program that is currently showing (at 21:00 - 10-09-2016)

BUT, if midnight passes (after 00:00) the day changes and it will messed up the listing on the site!!!! Continuing with the above example, it's passed midnight (tha day changed to 11-06-2016) and I want to know what's on, on Channel 1 at 02:00. If I go to the website, the Today tab will now change and it will show the date of 11-09-2016 (with the listing programs from 06:00 11-09 until 05:00 12-09). So, instead of showing me the playing program of 02:00 - 11-09 it will show me that the Now Playing program it's the one from 02:00 12-09!! I tried to make it as clear as possible!! English is not my first language.

And the same happens with the grabbing. If you try to grab between 00:00 and 06:00 the output will be wrong. I tested it last night (around 03:00) and the grabbing was wrong. I tested again today (14:00) and the grabbing was fine. So it's better to use the grabbing for these sites a little later in the day.

However there is another issue. The grabbing times seems to be off by 3 hours. For example the first program of the day is at 07:00 but the ini grabs its as 04:00

Cablenet (UTC Default)

<programme start="20160910040000 +0000" stop="20160910050000 +0000" channel="CyBC1">
    <title lang="el">Program Name</title>
  </programme>

Cablenet (UTC+2)

<programme start="20160910040000 +0300" stop="20160910050000 +0300" channel="CyBC1">
    <title lang="el">Program Name</title>
  </programme>

Cyta (UTC+2 Default)

<programme start="20160910070000 +0300" stop="20160910080000 +0300" channel="Rik1">
    <title lang="el">Program Name</title>
    <desc lang="el">N/A(n)</desc>
  </programme>

This happens on both Cablenet and Primetel. Even if the site shows that the program starts at 07:00, Cablenet and Primetel inis' grab it as 04:00. I tried to change the timezone in the ini from UTC to UTC+2, as it is in another ini (cyta.com.cy) that grabs the hours fine, they still grabbed as 04:00 instead of 07:00. I know i have been a "pain in the", the last couple of days with all my questions... Sorry about that. Why this is happening? I mean, showing 07:00 but grabbing 04:00?

For now I will stick with cyta.com.cy for my local channels.

You were also right about Cablenet missing out some of the channels, during the creation of the channels file. I included bellow the file with the correct ID/Channels combination for the missing channels.

Again, thank you very much for all the effort and your time!

I tried to understand how your code in the ini works and why it has that time difference. Not because you did something wrong.... But because I like learning new things. So I managed to get the program details from the json file (cablenet) and I found the entries for the channels and their program for a particular date.

{
        "ma": "",
        "sd": "",
        "ld": "",
        "ti": "Program's Title",
        "du": 3600,
        "df": "2016-09-10T04:00:00Z",
        "dt": "2016-09-10T05:00:00Z"
      },

So in your file, you used ld for the description, ti for the title, df and dt for the start and end time. I figured that du is the duration, but in seconds. But the start and ending time is the issue.. While in the site's EPG that particular entry was showing that it was starting at 07:00 and ends at 08:00, why on the json file shows like this, with a 3 hour time difference? And what does those T and Z means. It really bothers me that it shows one time in the site and another in the json file!!

First of all, allow me to apologize for not replying to your solution when I read it. I removed Z from index_start and index stop scrub lines and the grabbing times are correct.

However now I have a different issue (not always though).

[Error   ] Unable to update channel CHANNEL NAME
[Critical] Generic syntax exception:
[Critical]    message:
[Error   ] Current culture: en-GB
[Error   ] time parsing error : String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
[Error   ] nextstartdatetime time scrubbed :
[Error   ] computer date/time format: 05/10/2016 20:38:20
[  Info  ] Existing guide data restored!

I'm grabbing program data for 11 channels with cablenet ini and 5 out of 11 are giving me the above error message. The rest of them get the program data just fine (from what I can see - I didn't go through the programs one-by-one).

More info from a quick testing!!!

If I choose a grabbing period for 1-3 days, the grabbing ends with no errors. However, if I increase the grabbing for 4 or 5 days, the grabbing has the above error in some of the channels. Also, if I remember correclty, the last time I grab for 5 days it finished with no errors. But the time before that (for 5 days grabbing) I got the error again! (I don't know if I make any sense!!!) e.g. 1st grab (5 days): error for some of the channels, 2nd grab (5 days): no errors, 3rd grab (5 days - today): errors. 4th testing grab for 1,2,3 days: no errors. 5th testing grab for 4,5 days: errors!

Might be because in the site (tvguide.cablenetcy.net) there is no data for the "errored" channels from 08/10/2016 and onwards?

One of the channels that gives me this error is:

<channel update="i" site="tvguide.cablenetcy.net" site_id="51002" xmltv_id="CyBC1">CyBC1</channel>

But as I said above, the channels that gave me this error they don't have program info in the site from 08/10/2016 and onwards.

Also from a couple of tests, the grabbing works for 1-3 days.

I added the line you said, it proceeds with the grabbing with no errors, however the grabbing is wrong.

Let's take for example the channel that I gave you in the previous post, CyBC1. Because on the site (tvguide.cablenetcy.net) CyBC1 only has data listed until 08/10/2016 06:45 (the rest of the days are just blank for this site), the grabbing proceeds with data from the channel right after CyBC1, until it finished. The grabbing was for 5 days.

Right the now, on the site, the first 3 channels listed are CyBC1, CyBC2 and Ant1. CyBC1 has programs listed up until 08/10/2016 06:45, CyBC2 up until 08/10/2016 02:00 and Ant1 up until 12/10/2016 04:30.

So when grabbing CyBC1 and gets till the end of the available data, it goes to the next channel CyBC2 but since it has no data as well, it goes to Ant1 and continues. Actually it skips a day.

<programme start="20161008064500 +0300" stop="20161008073000 +0300" channel="CyBC1">
    <title lang="el">Ταξίδι στη Γεύση</title>
</programme> last program listed for CyBC1
<programme start="20161009062000 +0300" stop="20161009070000 +0300" channel="CyBC1">
    <title lang="el">ΠΡΩΙΝΗ ΕΝΗΜΕΡΩΣΗ</title>
</programme> First program listed on 09/10/2016 for Ant1

As you can see it continues grabbing programs from other channels as it's from CyBC1.

Probably becuase the guide on the site is not complete. I will try again when they insert the missing data for some of the channels. I don't mind making 1 or 2 days shorter epg files.
