Does anyone know how to fix this. When I make the modification to the Robots file (removing the Disallow parts), it gets reset and added back in when WG is run, so no channel data populates. When I change the Robots file to Read Only and run WG, this message pops up

Access to the path 'C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\WebGrab+Plus\robots\tvtv.ca.robots' is denied.

at System.IO.File.InternalDelete(String path, Boolean checkHost)

It doesn't make sense though since I'm running this as Administrator and have full access to everything. It's Windows 8.1 x64

I had similar issue, I couldn't quite put my finger on what exactly was causing the problem. Setting the file to "Read-only" did not do it for me neither.

What I did in the end was to deny the "Write" permission of every user for the ...\WebGrab+Plus\robots\ folder. That worked.

HELP!!!

All I want to get working is Local Over the Air channels downloaded through tvtv.us. I see from the posts that some people have gotten it working and some haven't.

I did delete the robots.txt file in the directory, I have the license and I think it is configured correctly but as you can see in the log I am getting nowhere.

Is there a later revision of the tvtv.us.ini file? Mine says Revision 2 but I just got it off of the main site, when I tried others that I saw in here I got an error and WebGrab++ crashed.

Actually if I can get Local OTA channels from a U.S. Zip Code from ANY site please tell me how to do it.

Please, someone tell me how to fix it.

you should read remarks in siteini, basically you need two step, get C1 provider/type, then run C2- to get channel list.
did it for you. Remember to set back update to F (force) or I (incremental)

Also use siteini.pack * @Revision 9 - [27/10/2023] Blackbear199

I think it is working, or at the very least it is downloading, I put in those channel numbers and I am running the Rev 9 ini file. It takes a while to come in but I don't mind, I usually schedule this in the middle of the night. What I wanted to know is how you came up with those channel settings. I would like to know because there are many channels that even though they are broadcast here they are not listed. Most of it is self-explanatory except for the number after site_id.
Thanks.

Update: I was looking in the wrong place when you said to look at the site ini comments. I found what you meant and eventually I will give it a try. Right now the ones I have requested are still coming in. Thanks again.

Okay, I know this should be easy, but I am having trouble generating the channels list for other providers. Attached is what I have tried, I get the "403 Forbidden" and it does generate a file but it is empty.
Can someone please give me the "dummy" instructions for the c1 and c2 instructions on how to generate a list of providers for a zip code and the channels from those providers?
Thanks.

You get forbidden because the line in your config should be C2.
A siteini update is = c (channel list) to produce a channel list. Some siteini require multiple step because postal code or provider, for those you use C1, C2, C3....etc
It's very simple, attached a text explaining the process.
