It seems like one of the lines in the guide.xml is missing during the last couple of weeks: "icon src...".
I have searched this site for info about this, but haven't found any references about structure change in the guide.xml file.
I have used the icon filename as a program reference id in my software (as an example "COVER_MOBILE_1958724.jpg"), but if this line is no longer provided in the EPG standard, I have to change my layout.
Anybody having any information about this or a link to get me started studying this change?
I'm using WebGrab+Plus version V5.2.0.0 on Windows 11. I also checked the previous version (on another computer running Windows 10 and WebGrab+Plus version V3.3.0.0), and the same line is missing.
There might be a good and easy explanation to this, but I'm not able to find it!
Thanks for any help or update on this!
Louis
what ini?
most likely the site changed the data and it just needs to be fixed.
The ini file is: orange.es.ini
Thanks
Louis
fixed.
updated march 6/2025
orange.es
canalsur.es
That is absolutely great!
Thanks a lot!
Louis
Edit: The text is not formatted as I wrote it, some "automatic" editing here?
The ini file orange.es was updated as requested some days ago, so thanks for that.
Short version of a new update request:
Please update the orange.es.ini file without the "pc" in the start of the "https://pc" in the start of the address, and the icon downloaded is for PC in landscape format and not for mobile in portrait format. I use the portrait format as in cover images for movies.
Previous line in the config file was like:
https://orangetv.orange.es/pc/api/rtv/...
and the new listing is like:
https://pc.orangetv.orange.es/pc/api/rtv...
If it's possible (and I guess it is?), I would appreciate if the ini file was updated to exclude the "pc" in the line.
Also, a new siteini.config seems to be more correct for the channel "CanalSur".
The new ini file I found has the name "canalsur.es", but is also missing the "
with or without the pc part makes no difference.
there are multiple images available.
COVER_ART 1920x1080
BACKGROUND 1920x1080
COVER 1280x720
VERTICAL 720x960
which do u want?
also not sure what u mean by canalsur.ini, explain more.
Well, there is only one link to a landscape format file, but if I can change that as in your post, that is a log better than I was aware of.
The link now is like:
/COVER/COVER_3700710.jpg
So if I change it to:
/VERTICAL/VERTICAL_3700710.jpg"
it should download a 720x960 image?
Some of the text disappeared in my previous post (I guess it was too long?), but the full text for the canalsur.es should be:
The new ini file I found has the name "canalsur.es", but is also missing the icon src=..., so I would appreciate if this file could be updated as well.
Thanks!
Louis
I just checked changing the COVER to VERTICAL, but that was too easy i guess and didn't work. So I would like the VERTICAL format.
Thanks!
Louis
that wont work as the image number at the end is different for each resolution.
files updated in above post.
Just updated the siteini.pack, but it's listed as COVER and not VERTICAL (it's in landscape format).
Sorry if I was not clear about this, but it's the VERTICAL than links to the portrait image?
I guess I can't change this myself? And wouldn't this affect other users using the same orange.es.ini file?
It used to be COVER_MOBILE_xxxx, so some of the system has changed, and I have to adapt my code to this.
Just trying to understand, and if possible, do some of these changes myself.
Thanks!
Louis
use the files above, the inipack wont be updated yet.
the only options in the data are the ones i listed above.
when your viewing with mobile its probably detecting this and using different image links.
i dont see them with desktop.
Thanks for the clarifications. And I have no hurry with this at all! I'll check it tomorrow or the next day and confirm that everything is as it should. I do not use this on mobile phones, it's just the portrait format i like to mix it with other movie cover images that are usually in portrait mode, like The Movie Db site that I use for synopsis downloads.
Thanks!
Louis
