Since a month or two I haven't been able to get movies matched using the tmdb.api MDB.
Did they change something in the API that broke the ini, or is it something else?
Could someone shed some light on this?
The other tmdb ini's don't work for me as well. Strange..

Strange, when using themoviedb.porg.themoviedb.ini I get an "can't establish SSL connection error" on each of the suggested movie candidates and the processing is therefore finished in mere seconds.

Latest wg version on Windows.
Because of this error, I used the API version which worked fine for a long time, but lately doesn't generate any hits (no errors though).
ssl errors are OS related.
on windows its usually because tls1.2 in not enabled.
usually older versions like win 7.
i think win 8 and above its enabled by default.
google enable tls1.2 windows,there many tutorials on how to check this.
i havnt had a chance to check the api mdb ini.
It's a win7 system indeed. I have made the registry changes to enable TLS 1.2 but to no avail.. Still the same error using that ini.
Could you please check the API version, which does work for me (albeit without hits at the moment)?
u can try this but i dont have much hope for it working.
win 7 being end of life is no longer being updated.
this means ssl certificates are also not updated.
your going down a rabbit hole by trying to keep using it.
things will just get worse.

i cant see this being a win7 related issue.
I only added the icon line indeed. Could you retry using this EPG input (from tvgids.nl)?
figured out out.
its a webgrab bug.
the error is being caused by the ratingicon element.
check any ini you use and disable any ratingicon.scrub lines by adding a * to the beginning of the line.
example for tvgids.nl its
ratingicon.scrub {multi|Kijkwijzer|data="|"|}
disabled
*ratingicon.scrub {multi|Kijkwijzer|data="|"|}
this element is seldomly used so maybe tvgids.nl is the only ini u use that had it,i didnt check the others in your log.
you will have to grab new data,delete your guide.xml or do a update f.
i send a messsage to jan about this.

I would change the ini myself according to your post, but since tvgids.nl is in encrypted form that's a dead end for me. Hopefully Jan will be able to release a fix one of these days.
