As I see, this forum seems to be quite unattended.
Please find enclosed the updated tvtoday.de-ini file which now supports/fills also the episode-num tag
Kind regards - Chris

Hi Chris,
sorry to hear that you feel that the forum is not responsive. May be you are right, the last two weeks it has been too busy for the two of us (Francis and me) to answer every post. Don't forget that most posts require a few hours of investigating.
(What I am saying is that we can use some help now and then) Therefor ...
thanks for the tvtoday revision .. I added it to the 'official' list now :

Dear Jan, dear Francis
I really apologize what I said. Thanks, Jan, for your very fair answer. In fact, I owe you a lot, as you help me indirectly to be very comfortable in overlooking the shows to come.
Please excuse me.
With kind regards - Chris
PS: and if I could ever help you out, I'd really like to do.
Dear Jan
Maybe you followed the discussion on tvtoday's gap-issue on MP forum.
Let me summarize it here: I created Rev. 9 of tvtoday.ini with the help of "Lightning303" - rolled back to Rev. 6 to eliminate the gap bub and inserted my changes to grap season/episode info I inserted into Rev. 7.
The results seem to be promising - please find enclosed Rev. 9 to include in your siteini pack - as Rev's 7 & 8 are faulty and are producing gaps:
***********************
Here's the result of my own tests concerning Rev. 9:
Basis:
1. All tests run on the same day (no extra-shows) with same scope (54 programs/14 days)
2. with Rev. 8 I had an import of 16'058 programs --> GAPS
3. using tvspielfilm.de solely lead yesterday to an import of 21'369 programs
4. many gaps with tvtoday.de
Test 1 - incremental update of existing xmltv file (with gaps)
1. Using the existing xmltv file and incremental update with Rev. 9: import of 21'355 programs (includes partly season/episode info)
2. Gaps erased/filled
Test 2 - new xmltv file from scratch
1. Erasing xmltv file and re-creating from scratch with Rev. 9: import of 21'355 programs (includes full season/episode info - tested with examples)
2. NO gaps
This sounds reliable -I look forward to receiving your observations.
I recommend to use Rev. 9 now - will post this likewise in the forums of webgrabplus.com
Let us know about your experience!

Hi Chris,
No , unfortunately I haven't followed the discussion on the MP forum. For some reason I don't get the notifications anymore. What is the link?
Thank you that you fixed the tvtoday issues! I wish we had more of those capable users like you! I have placed your revision on the epg-channels download page. I only adapted the header to the standard we currently follow (WG++ uses these to do some checks). I also placed the channellist creation lines in a standard section at the bottom, for the same reason.
You can download the ini @http://www.webgrabplus.com/sites/default/files/download/ini/info/zip/Germany_tvtoday.de.zip
Thanks again for your contribution
Jan
Hi Jan!
Thanks for your kind words... I'm more a kind of "trainee" ;)
The link to the MP forum thread is forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/webgrab-plus-a-new-xmltv-grabber.88425/
I'll have a look to you adoptions so that I can provide a proper header next time.
Currently it seems that MP users face problems to import the grabbed season/episode info, I'll try to find out with them but I probably need your help (couldn't dfind this information in docs):
Which episode or seasdon related fields are used / served by WG++?
Currently, I'm just filling episode_num with a not "num-conformed" text. That is what Argus-TV (what I'm using) has no problem with, but MP seems to have. Means: I'd like to fill more fields like (don't know the variable names) episode_num, episode_text, season:num .. whatever is existant...
Could you help me out with some information?
Kind regards - Chris
PS: we'll surely have to produce a Rev. 10 - sorry for the work we create!
Chris,
the xmltv specification allows a xml attribute 'system' for the <episode-num> element. This attribute can have any value to indicate what kind of episode data is used. The most common system values are 'onscreen' which you can use if the episode data doesn't follow any specific standard. The best recognized standard however is 'xmltv_ns' which is recognized by most PVR xmltv import programs.
You can specify this attribute in the siteini :
site {episodesystem=xmltv_ns}
But next you have to convert the scrubbed episode data into this system which can be rather tricky. You must separate the three parts of this system, season, episode and part, do some calculations to make them '0' based and add them together again. A good example is in http://www.webgrabplus.com/sites/default/files/download/ini/info/SiteIni.Pack/Belgium/yelotv.be.ini
You can read more about this 'xmltv_ns' standard in http://xml.coverpages.org/XMLTV-DTD-20021210.html
Let me hear if you can't get it fixed.
Jan
EDIT:
- double post - sorry, can't delete it (not authorized)
Dear Jan
Thanks a lot for your support!
Actually - I encountered a show-stopper, which has nothing to do with WG++:
Episode numbers on tvtoday.de are used in a non-consistent way:
- with season one, they're 1-based
- beyond season 1: partly 0-based, partly 1-based
This is unpredictable. Means - some of the (usually) absolute numbering is 0-based, some is relataive.
I can't clean this up in the ini file of WG++ - and it has nothing to do with WG++.
As we will always need the intelligence of the user.. therefore, it'll remain the Rev. 9 (which shows "textual information" only) - sorry - better NO information than a wrong one....
I'll create an ini file for one user of MP, who doesn't care for a +/- 1 accuracy, but I suggest to not implement it in the package.
Kind regards - Chris
