Upgraded to WG++ 3.3 (win10) after not using the program for a while and I'm not getting any matches for movies or tv shows. I've read a few forum topics made sure everything is up to date (pretty sure they are) and also played around with a few episode number patterns for series but nothing seems to change in getting any matches. I'm completely stumped, so any help getting this to work for my channels would be greatly appreciated. files are attached.
honestly what are you doing?
you do realize how slow mdb is and your running it on news and kids channels?
add these to be excluded.
you dont watch the news unless it has good user reviews?
kids feel the same about spongbob?
i really dont care what you do as its your pc resources chewing up time running mdb on shows your more than likely to get no match for.
try these files, your not even using the lastest from the siteini.pack from what i can see.
dont even both with the ask, bing, ect ones.far as i know the only ones that have been updated are the imdb.com.imdb ones.
i was getting matches using your guide.xml but wasnt waiting for close to 300 series shows to complete to see the results.
That's not my epg config, I grabbed a few channels from my main config and ran them as an example showing no matches, I missed the fact one was a news channel, my bad. ABC plus channels share the same channels as ABC kids so they're not dedicated kids channels. It took 6 mins to run on my machine, which didn't seem much of an issue to me tbh. I appreciate if it was matching it would have taken a lot longer.
fetchtv.com.au.ini is 19.7.21 & rte.ie.ini is 24.4.22 and imdb.com.imdb.ini is Revision 15 - [08/09/2022] and imdb.com.imdb_series.ini is Revision 11 [29/07/2021] these are the same as the .ini's found in SiteIni.Pack_2023.03.06_185500.
I see that the versions of the imdb ini's you've attached are newer but they don't match the ones that are available on the github or EPG CHANNELS page. Is there a newer SiteIni.Pack that I can't find, available somewhere else?
I did test with only the imdb ini's (older versions in the current SiteIni.Pack) and couldn't get any matches so for this test I used older one's on the off chance they may be working. There is nothing in the documentation about them being depreciated so I wasn't to know really.
I have taken the updated imdb ini's you attached, used only those in the mdb config and I'm getting some matches. Not many but it is certainly matching some show_id's with mdb site data now which is an improvement. I thought it would be a good way to scrape some more info for the the epg but it's clearly more temperamental than that. Some shows on the same channel it will manage to match one episode but not another.
Thanks for the updated imdb ini's.
imdb doesnt always have info for every episode(or even a series).
only way to tell is go through your log and search for show that didnt get a match on imdb and see if info exists.
